Yellow (and springy)

Remember this contraption from a decade ago? The hook is normally clipped to the top of our school shorts. A bouncy and curly spring-like thingy hangs off this hook with the other end attached to a bunch of keys or a wallet. We, being less-than-100%-obedient kids then, liked swinging ‘dangerous’ objects attached to the orange curly, springy part.

This Weapon of Minor Destruction is still working fine. The yellow lever works alright, opening and closing the hook with some creaking noise now of course. Sadly, I can’t remember what happened to the orange springy part of this yellow object. Lost forever.

I don’t see it at neighbourhood shops anymore. I was actually quite surprised when I walked past Minitoons a few weeks back and saw a whole range of colours available for sale. I forgot the “actual retail price”, but I think it’s less than 10 bucks.

Get it, whilst memories (and stocks) last.
