Heavy rain is strangle therapeutic to me. Driving when it’s raining heavily is even more therapeutic. The pitter-patter of the raindrops on the roof, the swish squish sounds when the tyres run over huge puddles of water, bolts of lightning across the grey skies accompanied by boomy thunder, all help to take my mind away from school for a while.
The cute almost round droplets of water that form on the windscreen is quite cute too. This strong tendency to stare at them sliding across and over the glass is there man.
Driving through puddles is even more interesting as you can create impromptu musical fountains (without the music). And if you hit the right puddle, the water will splash really high up and onto vehicles beside you, or vehicles in the opposite direction. awesome, until that exact same scenario happens to me instead. The sudden wall of water will blind you for like a second. 🙂
a random rant: lorry drivers, it’s raining, and yes, the cops may be away, but can you all please be considerate and not take the 1st lane? I beg of you not to road hog anymore. We can go 30km/h faster than you, so please stay within your assigned lane. thanks!
