This is really bad, really really bad. What will happen to starhub cable tv users? Will they be left behind? I am not a subscriber of the sports group, but I am a great supporter of Starhub and its customer-oriented attitude and services. A lot of people are not really happy with the way Singtel handles customers, but but, I shall leave it like that, and not comment about this.
What happened? What will happen to those on contract? STARHUB, you better do something, if not half of yr 500000 users will pull out. We want to be loyal, but but, without ESPN and the related sports coverage, how will we do that?
But then again, if Starhub provides a super high bid and eventually wins the bid, will customers be happy with the higher subscription fees? hmm.
2 sides to a coin. But this blow to Starhub, is a really big blow.
